The Israel/Palestine conflict has exposed a simmering worldwide bed of hate for Israelis.  The hate goes beyond the terrorists of the Middle East and includes USA liberals, the worldwide media and USA Muslims.  CNN hates Israel so much it aired an Islamic terrorist propaganda film as "news". (See Biased CNN report prevents Israel from achieving a just peace)  A USA Muslim asked for all those opposed to Hamas brutality to be burned alive in ovens. (See USA Muslim insists on showing hatred)  USA liberals and many world leaders have come out and asked for Israel's destruction, not directly, but by demanding that Israel stop defending itself.  (See Islamic terrorists supporters say they oppose Israel policies.  They actually support Islamic killers murdering innocent people)

The worldwide hate, including the hate of USA liberals, for Israel poses a question for our readers.
QUESTION FOR READERS:
What can Israel do to achieve peace with Hamas and Iran?
Does Israel need to nuke Iran?

The media bias for tolerance when discussing the Islamic Terrorists continues.  The AP coverage of an Islamic suicide killer in Iraq was so pathetic it failed to mention the killing was done by an Islamic terrorist.  (See Why do Islamic terrorist leaders send women to do their killing.  Are remaining Islamic Terrorists males all cowards?)

Part of the liberals and liberal media views can be explained.  Many of today's liberals, today, are afflicted by mental problems than can be called Schizoliberalism (See Liberal Mental Disorder Proven. Schizoliberals exist) or Infantilism.   (See Liberalism is a sign on infantilism).  It is now clear that liberals are essentially unhappy people.  (See Liberals - be happy - become conservative and You will be happier if you are married, go to church and become a conservative)  Part of the reason for the affinity of liberals and Islamic terrorists is that they do share a similar characteristic.  (See Comparing Terrorists and USA "liberal" characteristics)

While the Middle East teeters on a world war, USA politicians continue to play games with the future of the USA.  The corruption of politicians like Governors Blagojevich and Richardson, as well as the corruption of Senators like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama threaten the underpinnings o USA representative democracy.  (See

Despite the fiscal problems of the USA, the Do Nothing Congress does nothing on Obama's stimulus package.  In addition, politicians on both sides of the aisle seem to be willing to fix the mistakes they made by burdening future generations.  (see Let the children pay the debt.  Let us play and the kids can pay).  Many of the politicians are seeking to get funds for their favorite greenies, despite the fact that Global warming has become a joke.  (See Ice age threatens the USA as global warming ends)

How is Hamas doing defending Gaza
On Christmas, 2008, the mighty Islamic fighting forces send a large number of rockets into Israel - hoping to kill as many Israelis as possible.  Hamas and their supporters had a strategy for defending Gaza.  Hamas would defend its home in Gaza by killing innocent civilians in Israel.
   How did Hamas Do?
Did shooting rockets into Israel prove to be a good way to defend Gaza?
No!  The Islamic terrorists proved to ignorant as well as blood thirsty KILLERS-4-ALLAH

Liberal Mental Disorder Proven. Schizoliberals exist.
Those in the USA who call themselves liberals are victims of a condition indicated by the absence of a clear and comprehensive identity. In most cases two or more independent and distinct personality systems develop in the same individual. The liberal will be tolerant in some cases, and them become totally intolerant.
Each personality may alternately inhabit the person's conscious awareness to the exclusion of the others, but one is usually dominant. The tolerance of USA liberals is prominent, usually when the liberal is not directly involved.
The various personalities typically differ from one another in outlook, temperament, and body language and might assume different first names. The Internet has created a new environment for the split personality liberal, allowing the tolerant liberal to maintain a permanent disassociation from the intolerant liberal.
The condition is generally viewed as resulting from dissociative mental processes — that is, the splitting off from conscious awareness and control of thoughts, feelings, memories, and other mental components in response to situations that are painful, disturbing, or somehow unacceptable to the person experiencing them. Treatment is aimed at integrating the disparate personalities back into a single and unified personality.  Sadly, many of the split personality liberals refuse to look for help.  Also see

Islamic terrorist leaders are cowards who send brainwashed women do to their killing.

Why are Islam leaders of terrorist groups such cowards?

Brainwashed female suicide bomber sent to Shiite shrine in Baghdad manages to kill 38 innocent people on religious pilgrimage
AP  on Jan 4, 2008, with unspun additions and clarifications

BAGHDAD -- A brainwashed Islamic terrorist woman hiding among Iranian pilgrims with a bomb strapped under her black robe killed more than three dozen innocent Muslim people Sunday outside a Baghdad mosque during ceremonies commemorating the death of one of Shiite Islam's most revered saints.

The murdering Muslim maniac's suicide attack, the most recent in a series that has killed more than 60 innocent people in less than a week, was the latest attempt by the cowardly Islamic terrorist leaders to mar the transfer of many security responsibilities from the U.S. military to Iraqi forces.

Iraqi security forces have deployed thousands of troops in Baghdad and in the Shiite holy city of Karbala, just south of the capital, to safeguard against attacks during the ceremonies. Attacks by Sunni "insurgents" (actually, Islamic terrorists, but AP refuses to recognize the existence of Islamic terrorists) and even a Shiite "cult"  (actually, an Islamic terrorist cult, but AP refuses to recognize the existence of Islamic terrorists) have killed hundreds of innocent Muslim people in recent years.

At least one report from the Health Ministry said the dead included 17 Iranian pilgrims, seven of them women. There were also seven Iraqi women killed by the blast, which sent shrapnel hurtling across the crowded square.

"I saw many dead pilgrims on the ground after the explosion all covered in blood, some of them Iranians," one unidentified witness told Associated Press Television News.

Sunday's suicide attack bore all the hallmarks of the Sunni Islamic terror group al-Qaida in Iraq, which has killed hundreds of people in bombings against Ashura pilgrims in recent years. U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker and Gen. Ray Odierno, the top U.S. general in Iraq, blamed the group for the attack as well as a Friday suicide bombing that killed at least 23.

"These horrific attacks, along with the December 11 suicide bombing in Kirkuk, demonstrate that Iraq remains a lethal and dangerous threat to innocent men, women and children of all faiths and groups," Odierno and Crocker said in a joint statement. The bombing in the northern city of Kirkuk killed 55.

Islamic terrorists can be cured.  To achieve peace give them what they deserve

Blago and Richardson are no more guilty than other politicians, like Obama and Hillary Clinton, who have traded their political power for their own personal gain.  Look at Hillary's record here.

WASHINGTON: A developer in New York state donated $100,000  to former President Bill Clinton's foundation in November 2004, around the same  time that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton helped secure millions of dollars in  federal assistance for the businessman's mall project.

Hillary Clinton helped enact legislation allowing the developer, Robert  Congel, to use tax-exempt bonds to help finance the construction of the Destiny  USA entertainment and shopping complex, an expansion of the Carousel Center  in Syracuse.

She also helped secure a provision in a highway bill that set aside $5  million for Destiny USA roadway construction.

The bill with the tax-free bonds provision became law in October 2004, weeks  before the donation, and the highway bill with the set-aside became law in  August 2005, about nine months after the donation.

Congel and Philippe Reines, a spokesman for Hillary Clinton, both said there  was no connection between his donation and her legislative work on his project's  behalf. Reines said the senator had supported the expansion of Carousel mall  "purely as part of her unwavering commitment to improving upstate New York's  struggling economy, and nothing more."

Bill Clinton set up his foundation as he was leaving the White House and as  his wife was transforming herself from first lady to U.S. senator from New York.  The William J. Clinton Foundation finances Bill Clinton's presidential library  in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as programs that work on AIDS, poverty,  climate change and other causes worldwide.

Donations to charities favored by lawmakers have been a recent ethics flash  point in Congress. In 2007, Congress enacted a law requiring companies and their  lobbyists to disclose donations to charities associated with lawmakers. But  there is no law requiring former presidents to disclose money they collect for  their foundations.

Last month, Bill Clinton's foundation revealed the identity of its donors as  part of an agreement with President-elect Barack Obama, who selected Hillary  Clinton as his nominee for secretary of state.

Most of the attention on the disclosure list has focused on millions of  dollars donated by foreign tycoons and Middle Eastern governments, like Saudi  Arabia, which have an interest in the U.S. foreign policy that Mrs. Clinton  would direct as the nation's chief diplomat.

But lower on the list was Congel's name, one of about 180 people who had  donated $50,000 to $100,000. A Destiny USA spokesman said Congel made a $100,000  donation in November 2004.

"There was no connection with Bill Clinton and the 'green bonds' and the  contribution," Congel said in an interview. "None at all."

Congel had been a prime force behind Congress's passage of tax-exempt "green  bonds," a program to decrease the financing costs of some $2 billion in  environmentally friendly projects by exempting lenders from paying federal taxes  on their income from the private bonds. By some estimates, the program could  cost the Treasury about $200 million.

The way the legislation was written, Congel's Syracuse development, which he  agreed to build and run in a way that promotes renewable energy and recycling,  was one of just four proposed projects that would qualify.

His contribution is the only known situation so far in which an American  donor gave a large sum to Bill Clinton's foundation while benefiting from his  wife's official actions. Reines said that Hillary Clinton did not solicit the  donation from Congel or discuss it with him or anyone on his behalf, and that  she was unaware of its timing and size until last month.

Hillary Clinton, who as a Senate candidate in 2000 supported other tax breaks  for a Carousel mall expansion to create jobs, did not work alone in getting the  subsidies through Congress. The measures had other supporters in the New York  delegation, including Senator Charles Schumer, a Democrat, and James Walsh,  Syracuse's Republican representative at the time.

Although Congel has sometimes given money to Democrats, he is a major  Republican campaign fund-raiser. In 2004, he was a "Bush Ranger," gathering more  than $200,000 in bundled contributions for the Bush-Cheney  re-election effort.

In the most recent election cycle, he donated money to the Republican  National Committee and to the Republican presidential primary campaigns of  Rudolph Giuliani, Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney.

But Congel said there was nothing incongruous about his donation to Bill  Clinton's foundation. "I have a huge interest in our country, and I thought  Clinton was a great president," Congel said. He added, "I think he's a  dedicated, dedicated American, and I'm a dedicated, dedicated American, and when  we have a president I think we have a right, privilege and obligation to support  that president. And I did that with Clinton, and I did that with Bush."

Congel has also given campaign donations to Hillary Clinton and other New  York Democrats, including Schumer.

Islamic terrorists supporters say they oppose Israel policies.  They actually support Islamic killers murdering innocent people.
Ignorant liberals and Islamic Terrorist supporters believe it is OK for the pigs of Hamas to routinely kill innocent Israelis, but they fear to admit this sick view.
The excuse used by those who want Hamas to continue killing Israelis is that they "Oppose Israel policies"
Of course, these supporters of the Islamic terrorists never explain the Israel policies they oppose.  But, this pretense is a good cover for actively supporting the killing of Israelis.  A typical post of these warped liberal minds involves - after analysis - insisting that Israel must not protect its citizens.
It is easy to understand why these liberals will not admit the sick views they hold and prefer to hide behind their invention "I oppose Israel policies."

Burris Circus stars Democratic Politicians

Democrats are starring as clowns in the Burris Circus.

A corrupt Democratic politician chooses Burris to fill Obama's Senate seat.

A law breaking Democratic State secretary refuses to sign a paper recognizing Burris as secretary.

The Democratic Senate Party leader insists that a white person (Burris is black) must be the new Illinois Senator.

Democratic Senators conspire to prevent Burris from being sworn in as Senator.

Laugh and weep as the Democratic clowns cavort before us all in their 3 ring circus of racism, lawbreaking and corruption.

Burris has been appointed to the Senate by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who has been charged with trying to sell that seat to the highest bidder. And though Blagojevich is facing both a criminal trial and impeachment proceedings, he is still legally the governor and the law says he gets to fill vacant Senate seats.

Senate Democrats refused to seat Burris, even though Burris is not accused of any wrongdoing. The Democratic political clowns said his appointment is tainted, the Senate has the sole power to decide who gets to join its club.  This clownish claim ignores the reality of the USA and the Constitution where voters - not corrupt Senators, choose Senators.  The Democrats political clowns also claimed they could not admit Burris because the Illinois secretary of state had not done the job he was required to legally do - sign a piece of paper.

San Francisco liberals have provided a solution that could lead to an immediate Israel cease fire in Palestine.

Let the children pay the debt.  Let us play.  Let the kids pay

It may be true that the GOVERNMENT HAS EACH FAMILY $516,348 IN DEBT BEFORE BORROWING ANOTHER $ TRILLION
I say (tongue in cheek), so what.  If this moderate trillion dollar debt helps me NOW, I am quite willing to allow your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to pay off this bill.  We Play now, the kids can pay later.  This is the liberal way.

Rules 'hiding' trillions in debt Liability $516,348 per U.S. household

By Dennis Cauchon USA TODAY

The federal government recorded a $1.3 trillion loss last year far more than the official $248 billion deficit when corporate-style accounting standards are used, a USA TODAY analysis shows.

The loss reflects a continued deterioration in the finances of Social Security and government retirement programs for civil servants and military personnel. The loss equal to $11,434 per household is more than Americans paid in income taxes in 2006.

"We're on an unsustainable path and doing a great disservice to future generations," says Chris Chocola, a former Republican member of Congress from Indiana and corporate chief executive who is pushing for more accurate federal accounting.

Modern accounting requires that corporations, state governments and local governments count expenses immediately when a transaction occurs, even if the payment will be made later.

The federal government does not follow the rule, so promises for Social Security and Medicare don't show up when the government reports its financial condition.

Bottom line: Taxpayers are now on the hook for a record $59.1 trillion in liabilities, a 2.3% increase from 2006. That amount is equal to $516,348 for every U.S. household. By comparison, U.S. households owe an average of $112,043 for mortgages, car loans, credit cards and all other debt combined.

Unfunded promises made for Medicare, Social Security and federal retirement programs account for 85% of taxpayer liabilities. State and local government retirement plans account for much of the rest.

This hidden debt is the amount taxpayers would have to pay immediately to cover government's financial obligations. Like a mortgage, it will cost more to repay the debt over time. Every U.S. household would have to pay about $31,000 a year to do so in 75 years.

The Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Board, which sets federal accounting standards, is considering requiring the government to adopt accounting rules similar to those for corporations. The change would move Social Security and Medicare onto the government's income statement and balance sheet, instead of keeping them separate.

The White House and the Congressional Budget Office oppose the change, arguing that the programs are not true liabilities because government can cancel or cut them.

Chad Stone, chief economist at the liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, says it can be misleading to focus on the government's unfunded liabilities because Medicare's financial problems overwhelm the analysis.

"There is a shortfall in Medicare and Medicaid that is potentially explosive, but that is related to overall trends in health care spending," he says.

Liberalism is a sign on infantilism.

Sadly, while many outgrow their infantile years, today's USA "Liberals" do not.

Psychological Leftism

It is submitted here that the major psychological reason why Leftists so zealously criticize the existing order and advocate change is in order to feed a pressing need for self-inflation and ego-boosting -- and ultimately for power, the greatest ego boost of all. They need public attention; they need to demonstrate outrage; they need to feel wiser and kinder and more righteous than most of their fellow man. They fancy for themselves the heroic role of David versus Goliath. They need to show that they are in the small club of the virtuous and the wise so that they can nobly instruct and order about their less wise and less virtuous fellow-citizens. Their need is a pressing need for attention, for self-advertisement and self-promotion -- generally in the absence of any real claims in that direction. They are intrinsically unimportant people who need to feel important and who are aggrieved at their lack of recognition and power. One is tempted to hypothesize that, when they were children, their mothers didn't look when they said, "Mummy, look at me".

This means that the "warm inner glow" that they obtain from their advocacy and agitation is greatly prized. So it is no wonder that anything which threatens to disturb it -- such as mere facts -- is determinedly ignored. This view of Leftism as a club of the righteous that must never be disturbed or threatened is explored in detail by Warby (2002). See also Ridley (2002) for a brief account of the way Lomborgs findings were greeted primarily by abuse rather than by any serious attempt at refutation.

And, of course, people who themselves desperately want power, attention and praise envy with a passion those who already have that. Businessmen, "the establishment", rich people, upper class people, powerful politicians and anybody who helps perpetuate the existing order in any way are seen by the Leftist as obstacles to him having what he wants. They are all seen as automatically "unworthy" compared to his own great virtues and claims on what they already have. "Why should they have...?" is the Leftists implicit cry -- and those who share that cry have an understanding of one-another that no rational argument could achieve and that no outsider can ever share.

Envy is a very common thing and most of us have probably at some time envied someone but, for someone with the Leftists strong ego needs, envy becomes a hatred and a consuming force that easily accounts for the ferocious brutality of Communist movements and the economically destructive policies (such as punitively high taxation, price controls and over-regulation generally) employed by Leftists in resolutely democratic societies. So the economic destruction and general impoverishment typically brought about by Leftists is not as irrational as it at first seems. The Leftist actually wants that. Making others poorer is usually an infinitely higher priority for him than doing anybody any good. One suspects that most individual Leftists realize that no revolution or social transformation is ever going to put them personally into a position of wealth or power so the destruction of the wealth and power and satisfaction of those who already have it must be the main thing they hope to get out of supporting Leftist politics. For a fuller account of the enormously destructive nature of envy see Schoeck (1969).

Whether or not someone is important, rich, successful, famous etc., is however of course very much a matter of individual perception. If many of the worlds most famous sports stars were introduced to me, for instance, I might well in all innocence proceed to ask them; "And what do you do for a living?" And while Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is my personal hero, there are many, even in academe, who would never have heard of the Mahatma. This "relativity" of importance, prestige etc. would seem to explain why many active Leftists are in fact college or university professors. College or university professor is a generally high status occupation that provides an above-average income so might, on the face of it, be seen as already providing considerable recognition and praise. But if status is precisely why certain people have gone to the considerable trouble generally required to enter that occupation, it could well be that the ego need of that person is so big that even more recognition is then craved. A college professorship may be prestigious but still be seen as providing far too little power, public exposure and opportunity for self-display. "Seeing I am so smart, I should be running the whole show", is an obvious line of thought for such people. Just some power and fame is still not enough power and fame for them.

The need for self-display does however in most people tend to decline as they mature -- which is part of the reason why graduates tend to be less radical than students and why older people tend to be much more conservative than young people (Ray, 1985). To misquote Lenin (1952) only slightly, much of Leftism would appear to be "an infantile disorder".

And nothing above, of course, is meant to suggest that pressing ego needs, self-righteousness etc are confined to Leftists. It is merely meant to say that Leftism is the principal political expression of such needs. Such needs can also be met by religion etc. and it must be noted that Communism was often described as a religion by its critics. Why people choose politics rather than some other means of meeting their ego needs would have to be the subject of a whole new enquiry but it seems possible that the potentially very broad exposure that politics provides to an individual might attract the people with the very highest ego needs. This high level of ego need among Leftists would also explain the generally much greater political activism of the political Left compared to the rather somnolent political Right.

It would also explain why Leftists so often have a "spare me the details" or "Dont worry about the facts" orientation. For most Leftists, it is the activism itself rather than what is advocated that is the main point of the exercise. As long as the cause advocated is both generally praiseworthy and disruptive to implement, that will suffice. The insincerity of the Leftist is of course an abiding theme in the many writings of Ayn Rand (e.g. Rand, 1957) -- who sees the hunger for power as the real motivation behind everything that the Leftist does.

The true history of Hillary Clinton

<<< ahills205 wrote:

Once upon a time the woman who former Democrat House Ways and Means Committee Chairman and convicted felon Dan Rostenkowski was credited with calling "the smartest woman in the world'' decided that departing the pinnacle of world power at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – where she was co-president of the U.S. for eight years – was unacceptable.

In no time, she decided that the fastest route to regaining that power was to spend as few years as possible as the junior senator from New York and then move onward and upward to reclaim what she believes is her rightful place in history as the first female president of the United States of America.

Hillary Rodham Clinton promptly relocated to the Empire State and moved into an upscale house financed by the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Her senatorial campaign involved spinning the yarn that she was a long-time NY Yankees fan, assuring upstate conservative voters that she "cared" about their jobs, informing the large liberal base of NY City Jewish voters that she was part Jewish (endearing coming from the wife of the first black president), and convincing the Chasidic New Square community in Rockland County (that had formerly voted overwhelmingly for arch-conservative Sen. Alfonse D'Amato) to vote 99 to 1 for her.

Never mind that two months after her election she pardoned four residents of New Square who had been convicted of defrauding the federal government, an act not quite as egregious as her husband's attempt to win her New York's Hispanic vote by pardoning 16 members of the FALN terrorist group who had planted over 130 bombs in the U.S., killed six people and injured 70.

All that added to the sympathy of New York's bleeding-heart liberals for the woman wronged by her predatory husband and his paramour Monica Lewinsky, and Hillary ran up enough votes to elect her to the U.S. Senate.

The Past as Prologue
In preparation for her unchallenged role as America’s Scandal Queen, Hillary navigated the shoals of Arkansas politics for 12 years as the then-governor's wife – years that included scandals of her own, among them:

            ▪ A $100,000 windfall from cattle futures after a $1,000 investment.

            • The Castle Grande real estate scam.

            • Her role as attorney for the Rose law firm in what would become the endlessly controversial-cum-criminal Whitewater affair that would follow her to the White House.

            • The serial philandering of her husband, which cast her – depending on one's viewpoint – as a clench-jawed stoic, a perpetual victim, or a willing collaborator.

According to veteran journalist Richard Poe: "During Bill Clinton's tenure as attorney general and then governor of Arkansas, the state became a veritable Dixie Casablanca, a hotbed of global intrigue, in which shady operators ranging from Columbian drug lords and BCCI money launderers to Chinese intelligence agents took part." And there, in the thick of it, was Clinton's  "stand by your man's" wife, Hillary.

Chicago-born Hillary – who by way of education, career, marriage and circumstance had already migrated to Wellesley, New Haven, Washington D.C., and Little Rock – had learned a lot in "The Natural State," specifically how to supernaturally evade responsibility, deny accountability, and dodge law enforcement, all the perfect preparation for her lengthy stay in White House – at the lofty address she now wants to reoccupy.

Don't Throw Me in That Briar Patch!
By the time she moved into the White House in 1993, Hillary was so accustomed to – and comfortable with – her husband's and her own self-created scandals that living a straight-and-narrow, law-abiding life appeared to be alien to her.

Like Brer Rabbit, Hillary practically begged for scandal. To recount the Joel Chandler Harris classic, Brer Rabbit was despised by Brer Fox, who decided to teach a lesson to the uppity rabbit. He created a tar baby and, sure enough, Brer Rabbit struck up a conversation with the sticky statue, but to no avail. Frustrated, he punched the baby and his paw got stuck in the tar. Infuriated, he struck him again and his other paw got stuck. Then he kicked the tar baby with both feet and butted it with his head and they too got stuck.

Finally, Brer Fox appeared to taunt his captive. "I'm going to barbecue you today, for sure."

"I don't care what you do with me, roast me," Brer Rabbit said. "Just so you don't fling me in that briar patch." Then Brer Fox threatened to hang the critter, drown him or skin him. But those horrible prospects didn't daunt Brer Rabbit. "Snatch out my eyeballs, tear out my ears by the roots," he pleaded with his antagonist, "but please, Brer Fox, don't fling me in that briar patch!

Finally Brer Fox decided to do the worst of all possible things: hurl Brer Rabbit in the briar patch. In no time, the fox saw Brer Rabbit sitting on a chinquapin log combing the tar pitch out of his hair. "Born and bred in the briar patch," Brer Rabbit gleefully called out to the fox. "It's my favorite place in the whole world!"

An Expert at Scandal
Unlike Brer Rabbit, Hillary wasn't born and bred in the world of political scandal – far from it. In fact her family were Republicans and young Hillary supported the1964 presidential bid of Barry Goldwater, the archconservative senator from Arizona. Unphased by his loss, she continued her conservative ways by becoming the president of the Wellesley College chapter of College Republicans.

But with her exposure at Wellesley to the radical leftist Saul Alinsky and her subsequent introduction to Yale Law School's draft-dodging leftist Bill Clinton, the die was cast for her hate-America's-military-intelligence-defense establishment. To the smartest woman in the world and her then-boyfriend, the path to changing what they hated was clear: Get power and hold onto it no matter what it takes!

What it took in Arkansas was first learning and then becoming a scandal expert. Within months of taking up residence in the White House, Hillary put her expertise to work.

In May 1993, the co-president was accused of having a central hand in firing several long-time employees of the White House Travel Office, the better to give the pricey travel business to her Hollywood pals, Linda Bloodworth Thomason and Harry Thomason. In true scandal-mode form, Hillary denied everything and when Whitewater Independent Counsel Robert Ray investigated Travelgate, he concluded that there was substantial evidence that involved Hillary but not enough to warrant an indictment.

A couple of months later, in July 1993, White House Deputy Counsel Vince Foster was said to have committed suicide, although the case for his murder has been made persuasively by, among others, Christopher Ruddy, in his 1993 book, "The Strange Death of Vincent Foster: An Investigation."

But the case didn't end there. In 1996, Hillary was accused by the Senate Special Whitewater Committee of ordering the removal of potentially damaging files related to Whitewater from Foster's office on the night of his death. Hillary denied everything, once again proving her adeptness in the scandal briar patch.

In June 1996, White House security head Craig Livingstone, a political operative and former bouncer, illegally obtained over 700 FBI files of mostly White House personnel from former Republican administrations. Hillary was accused of requesting the files and, in fact, hiring Mr. Livingstone, but she denied everything to yet another Independent Counsel, and Filegate became one more notch in her briar patch scandal belt.

Ultimately, her co-presidency brought about the fall of more elected and appointed members of her regime, as well as "friends” who met untimely deaths, were indicted, pleaded the fifth, fled the country, and were imprisoned, than in any administration in American history.

Staggering Numbers
Keeping in mind that Hillary – in her own "two for the price of one" pronouncement – told the nation that she would be sharing the presidency with her husband, it would beg the imaginations of even her most fervent acolytes that the tsunami of scandals that inundated the Clinton tenure somehow escaped either the notice or personal involvement of Hillary herself.

To see the shocking Scandal Index of the Clinton years, as compiled by the liberal Progressive Review ( http://prorev.com) is to appreciate the Clinton's 24/7/365 belief that any progress in their leftist domestic and foreign affairs agenda could only be realized through the most nefarious activity – much of which fit neatly into the criminal category. Under the listing of "Records Set'" by the Clinton administration (read: co-presidency), Progressive Review cites the following, of which I will only list a sampling:

▪ Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates.

▪ Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation.

▪ Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify.

▪ Most number of witnesses to die suddenly.

▪ First president sued for sexual harassment.

▪ First president accused of rape.

▪ First president to be held in contempt of court.

▪ First president to be impeached for personal malfeasance.

▪ First first lady to come under criminal investigation.

▪ Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign-contribution case.

▪ Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions.

▪ Number of Starr-Ray investigation convictions or guilty pleas to date: one governor, one associate attorney general and two Clinton business partners: 14.

▪ Number of Cabinet members who came under criminal investigation: 5.

▪ Number of individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine that were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes: 47.

▪ Number of these convictions during Clinton's presidency: 33.

▪ Number of indictments/misdemeanor charges: 61.

▪ Number of congressional witnesses who pleaded the Fifth Amendment, fled the country to avoid testifying, or (in the case of foreign witnesses) refused to be interviewed: 122.

▪ Guilty pleas and convictions obtained by Donald Smaltz in cases involving charges of bribery and fraud against former Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy and associated individuals and businesses: 15; acquitted or overturned cases (including Espy): 6.

▪ Clinton machine crimes for which convictions were obtained: drug trafficking, 3; racketeering, extortion, bribery, 4; tax evasion, kickbacks, embezzlement, 2; fraud, 12; conspiracy, 5; fraudulent loans, illegal gifts, 1; illegal campaign contributions, 5; money laundering, 6; perjury, et al.

▪ Number of times that Clinton figures who testified in court or before Congress said that they didn't remember, didn't know, or something similar: Bill Kennedy, 116; Harold Ickes, 148; Ricki Seidman, 160; Bruce Lindsey, 161; Bill Burton, 191; Mark Gearan, 221; Mack McLarty, 233; Neil Egglseston, 250; John Podesta, 264; Jennifer O'Connor, 343; Dwight Holton 348; Patsy Thomasson, 420; Jeff Eller, 697; and Hillary Clinton, 250.

Believe it or not, this exhaustive list omits even lengthier lists – on public record – of crimes investigated, public officials and reporters intimidated, threatened and muzzled, and the raft of dead people associated with the Clintons who died by guns, knives, alleged suicides, etc. See http://members.tripod.com/~rcjustice/pres.html and http://prorev.com/legacy.htm.

Apparently, the Clinton Scandal Squad enforcers believed that nothing was more important than protecting the co-presidents from realizing their relentlessly leftwing agenda – this in spite of the fact that by 1998 under the Clinton co-presidency, the GOP gained 48 seats in the House, 8 seats in the Senate, 11 governorships, and 1,254 seats in state legislatures, and that during their tenure, 439 (out of 1,998 Democrats) became Republicans as opposed to 3 Republicans who became Democrats.

Hillary's…Um…Character
Throughout her scandal-contaminated eight years in the White House, Hillary – having refined her skills in deflection, dissimulation and denial – became comfortably entrenched in her self-created briar patch. With increasing audacity and a confidence borne of "beating the system," she also displayed behavior that didn't quite rise to the level of scandal but certainly occupied other, rather lowly, categories:

Megalomania: Hillary refused to acknowledge – publicly or in print – the woman who in essence wrote her 1996 book, "It Takes a Village."

Lying: Hillary gave false testimony about her co-defendant Ira Magaziner, who helped her conduct secret meetings about her failed plan to socialize U.S. medicine.

Obstruction of Justice: the "smartest woman in the world" couldn't remember where she placed the Rose law firm billing records that were subpoenaed in 1994, until they magically reappeared two years later in the White House library.

Tastelessness: In 1999, after the wife of terrorist Yasir Arafat told the co-president that Israel was deliberately poisoning Palestinians, Hillary saw fit to embrace her. And that is not to omit what Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Michael Goodwin called her "rancid race baiting" remarks at a recent Martin Luther King Jr. celebration about Republicans running "the House" like a "plantation." Significantly, she omitted mention of the holiday that Arkansans celebrated during her years in the state house that honored Dr. King while at the same time honoring Robert E. Lee, the Confederate general who fought to allow the South to keep blacks enslaved.

Selective Amnesia: In her 2004 book, "Living History," Hillary strangely omitted mention of her own and her husband's key associates, men with whom she took numerous photographs and who donated millions of dollars to her husband's campaigns, going back to their Arkansas days. These include – among dozens of other shady characters and outright criminals – Moctar Riady, the Indonesian billionaire owner of the Lippo banking company (the partner of which is the Chinese communist government and reputedly a front for Chinese espionage), and his son James, who eventually pleaded guilty to campaign violations.

Contempt for Women: The world got its first glimpse of Hillary’s shabby character when she was co-running for the co-presidency in 1992 and – with what turned out to be supreme irony – told Steve Kroft on "60 Minutes" that she "wouldn't be some 'stand by your man' woman like [country-music icon] Tammy Wynette."

Her low regard for women continued through the 1990s as the White House went after many but certainly not all of the president's women – Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and Elizabeth Ward Gracen – by auditing their tax returns, and, in 1997, leaking Paula Jones' confidential tax returns to the press.

According to Candace E. Jackson in her book, “The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine,” Hillary “was right there in the inner circle taking a lead in giving these women zero credibility, in attacking them in public and through the press and in participating in all of these scare tactics, like hiring private investigators to threaten them and follow them…[she] is either as misogynistic as her husband or she is simply willing to conspire to mistreat women if that's what it takes to preserve their political careers."

In “Hillaryland,” Ryan Lizza writes in TheNewRepublicOnline, the New York senator has many Kool-Aid-drinking “crawl-across-broken-glass-for-Hillary” types [and] a “vast political empire based in Washington and New York…she has made every effort to change her image from far-left liberal by enacting legislation with Republicans…the more right-wing the co-sponsor, the better; extra points for anyone involved with her husband's impeachment.”

But will her extreme makeover work? According to columnist Jonah Goldberg, Hillary’s recent return of a campaign contribution from Wal-Mart, on whose board she sat from 1986 until 1992, “is a perfect illustration not merely of her hypocrisy but of the quicksand she is now in. She thinks it's a winning message to say she's too good for Wal-Mart's money but not Hollywood's. That's not exactly red-state savvy.”

“The amazing thing about [Hillary],” Goldberg says, “is that she's so unappealing. Even liberals don't like what they see…at every turn, [her] Zelig-like public persona has been a fabrication – either by her fans, her enemies or herself…”

All of which may explain a recent CNN-Gallup poll in which 51 percent of respondents said they definitely would “not vote” for Hillary in a presidential race.

Indeed, according to an online conservative site, even “media liberals are starting to jump ship” on Hillary, with “one CNN veteran [Ken Bode] calling her a `certain loser,’ a Newsweek scribe [Jonathan Alter] warning that she'll take Democrats on a `kamikaze’ mission in 2008,” and arch-leftist Maureen Dowd of the Clinton-fawning New York Times batting her away as one would an irritating gnat.

Hillary’s…Um…Style
Equally difficult to overcome, however, are unfortunate personality traits that Hillary has none-too-convincingly tried to conceal from the public. While decades have passed since she was labeled “Sister Frigidaire” in her high school newspaper, her image of being cold, robotic and inaccessible continues to this day.

Some critics have called her angry, impatient, given to temper outbursts, calculating, opportunistic, and a chronic victim, but Tim Cavanaugh of www.reason.com said, “Plainly put, it's her personality... She still lacks a key quality that a politician can't achieve through hard work: likeability.”

Indeed, it’s difficult to like someone who constantly patronizes her audiences, speaking ever so slowly so that the stupid masses will “get” what the smartest woman in the world is saying. Or when she uses her alienating alternative oratorical style, which consists solely of the strident, the screechy and the preachy.

Expanding on the Zelig multiple-personality comparison, author and political commentator Kate O’Beirne calls Hillary a “skilled poseur,” enumerating the ways in which she takes positions “entirely at odds with the words she proclaims from the housetops.” Not the least being her advocacy for the little guy, when in fact Hillary is the second-biggest spender in the Senate after New Jersey’s Sen. Jon Corzine.

Mrs. O’Beirne cites Hillary’s “Liberal Quotient” from the Americans for Democratic Action, which was 95 last year, tied with far-left Senators Barbara Boxer and Richard Durbin, and her lifetime ADA rating of 95, which outscores both Senators Ted Kennedy (89.16) and John Kerry (88.7). NARAL scored her a perfect 100 percent since her election to the senate, and the National Rifle Association gave her the grade of “F.”

Although Hillary would like the public to believe that she is a born-again hawk when it comes to the military, O’Beirne reports that the conservative American Security Council gave her “a measly 20 percent on national-security issues” and states that “her ersatz hawkishness is one of tepid gestures and hollow speechifying.”

Another example of her counterfeit hawkishness was demonstrated when she denounced the recent election of the terrorist group Hamas in Palestinian parliamentary elections, which led terrorism expert Steven Emerson to remind the public that, while co-president, Hillary met repeatedly with "groups that had openly supported Hamas, Hezbollah and other foreign terrorist organizations,” including, among many others, the militant Islamic Relief Association and The American Muslim Council, whose followers carried out the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.”

“A review of the statements, publications and conferences of the groups Mrs. Clinton embraced,” said Mr. Emerson, “shows unambiguously that they have long advocated or justified violence. By meeting with these groups, the first lady lent them legitimacy.”

Today, John Spencer, the former Mayor of Yonkers, NY, and a Vietnam combat veteran who will challenge Hillary in the November senate race (www.joinspencer.com) has accused the smartest woman in the world of accepting money from wealthy businessmen Hassan Nemazee and Faraj Aalaei, who are both associated with the American Iranian Council, a pro-Iranian-regime.

“Senator Clinton voted against the very munitions necessary to avoid a nuclear confrontation with Iran,” Mr. Spencer said, ”while at the same time accepting money from supporters of the Iranian mullahs…she lacks the credibility to keep New York safe and she should return this tainted money."

Then there is Hillary’s paranoid streak, as evidenced, O’Beirne states, by “her modus operandi [which] has always been to rally troops against the enemy – whether the Clintons’ Arkansas enemies, the Gingrich forces in the House, Ken Starr and `the vast right-wing conspiracy,’ George W. Bush and his band of ideologues, or whoever will bear the Republican mantle in 2008.”

A Worm Under Every Rock
No matter where you look, Hillary’s name is associated with scandal. For one thing, she has acknowledged accepting contributions from the influence peddling, recently indicted, uber-lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

There is also, according to Carl Limbacher at NewsMax.com, the Clinton campaign-finance scandal of the late 1990s, where millions of dollars of illegal Chinese campaign cash found its way into Democratic Party and Clinton legal defense fund coffers. Worse, American missile- guidance technology was given to Beijing. This outrage may be blamed on the senator’s husband, but that won’t wash for the “two for the price of one” Scandal Queen.

That is not to omit the recently released 400-page Barrett Report. In 1995, while Independent Counsel David Barrett was investigating the president’s Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros for various crimes, he discovered that the president had used the Internal Revenue Service (headed by Hillary’s college friend, Margaret Milner Richardson), the Justice Department (headed by Clinton puppet Janet Reno), and the White House (headed by co-presidents Bill and Hillary) to audit political enemies, particularly the women who had accused the president of sexual harassment and even rape.

Clintonista Democrats have tried for 10 years to have the parts of the Barrett Report that dealt with these matters redacted, and they succeeded. But Republican Senators Charles Grassley, Chairman of the House Finance Committee, and James Sensenbrenner, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, have both stated publicly that they are determined to get the entire report released.

The redacted portions must be pretty explosive because as columnist Tony Snow has noted, the “report is a bombshell, capable possibly of wiping out Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential prospects.”

The Nemesis Who Won't Go Away
Increasingly, Hillary and company have projected onto Republicans the “the culture of corruption” mantra and, onto President Bush, the “I” word – impeachment. This is to deflect attention away from Hillary’s latest scandal, one in which she will undoubtedly deny everything to escape accountability or even criminal indictment.

In short, Hillary’s current nemesis, Peter Paul – the largest single campaign contributor to her 2000 Senatorial campaign – has filed a suit against her and President Clinton – among many others.

According to Mr. Paul, the suit is “for committing a series of business frauds against me that involved me spending more than $1.2 million for Hillary's Senate campaign; having a Clinton front man go into business with my Japanese investor partner, causing the collapse of my public company; and filing fraudulent reports to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in the amount of nearly three-quarters-of-a-million dollars.”

Today, all of the many codefendants in the case – except Hillary – have exhausted their appeals and are now poised for discovery and trial, the schedule for which will be set by the court after a hearing on Hillary’s anti-SLAPP motion in Los Angeles in March.

NOTE: SLAPP suits, or Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation, are recognized in California as lawsuits that are brought against individuals, corporations or organizations in an attempt to silence defendants who speak out on matters of public concern. An anti-SLAPP motion seeks to strike all claims against a defendant – in this case, Hillary herself!

Initially, Hillary’s anti-SLAPP motion appeal was denied by both trial and appellate courts but then sent back to the trial court to clarify a discrepancy. But on February 3, 2006, the judge changed his original ruling. He ignored the tardiness of Hillary’s original filing and agreed to allow her to argue that her 1st Amendment rights (to conduct her senatorial campaign) included her own and her husband’s right to defraud her largest contributor. This action will allow Mr. Paul’s lawyers to depose Hillary. [Read more about this case in Part II of this series].

As the disposition of Hillary’s appeal approaches, the Clintons, their lawyers and spinners, as well as their echo chamber in what used to be the "mainstream" media – but is now known as the Old Media and even the Antique Media – are using all of their formidable resources to make sure that Hillary dodges yet another scandal.

Sound familiar? This is exactly what the leftwing media did when they tried to smear Paula Jones when she accused the Philander-in-Chief of sexual harassment. What they didn't count on, however, was that Mrs. Jones had the truth on her side and believed so fervently that justice would be served that she refused to knuckle under to their unceasing assaults.

Today, Peter Paul ( http://www.hillcap.org) also refuses to be intimidated by the Clinton machine and is equally assured that justice will out. He has become yet another Clinton nemesis who won't go away.

Supreme Court may look at Obama's birth certificate
This is a public service post from a true American.
Many "liberals" and ignorant Obama supporters have been wanting to know about the issue of Obama's eligibility to be USA president.

Chief Justice of The Supreme Court John Roberts Agreed to Hear My Case

A Natural Born Citizen Orly

Press Release from Dr. Orly Taitz, ESQ01.07.09. Good news, Chief Justice John Roberts agreed to hear my case Lightfoot v Bowen, challenging eligibility for presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. He distributed the case to the full conference of the Supreme Court. The timing of this decision by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts, is absolutely remarkable.

On January 7, one day before the January 8 vote by Congress and Senate, whether to approve or object to the electoral vote of Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, as president of the United States, Chief Justice Roberts is sending a message to them: "Hold on, not so fast, there is value in this case, read it. Hawaiian statue 338 allows Foreign Born children of Hawaiian Residents to obtain Hawaiian Birth Certificates, it allows one to get Hawaiian Certification of Life birth based on a statement of one relative only, without any corroborating evidence. You need to investigate, you need corroborating evidence.

If only one Congressman or one Senator presents a written objection, then there has to be a formal investigation by the joint session of Congress and Senate. During this investigation original birth certificate from Hawaii will be subpoenaed. All other pertinent documents will be subpoenaed: Obama's immigration records, any and all passports from Indonesia, Kenya and Great Britain; University enrollment records, showing if he was enrolled in US schools and universities and received financial aid as a foreign exchange student from Indonesia or Kenya. All of it can be subpoenaed and obtained within a day or two. Each and every member of US Congress and Senate owes it to 320 million American citizens to do his due diligence and demand all necessary records. When American servicemen are told to risk their lives defending Constitution of this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, each and every Congressman and each and every Senator can spend a day or two of their time defending this Constitution, reviewing necessary documents, in order to see if Barack Hussein Obama is a Natural Born Citizen, if he is a citizen at all." This is the message that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is sending to them, and if they are not listening, there has to be a massive petition drive to recall them. Truth will come out, no matter how many millions Obama is spending to hide it.

USA Muslim insists on showing hatred

Protester Calls for Jews to 'Go Back to the Oven' at Anti-Israel Demonstration

Wednesday, January 07, 2009

By Joseph Abrams

  •

Like many other protests of Israel's campaign in Gaza, this one ended badly police had to cool an ugly fight between supporters of Israel and Gaza, breaking up the warring sides as their screaming and chanting threatened to turn into something worse.

But some protesters at this rally in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., took their rhetoric a step further, calling for the extermination of Israel and of Jews.

Separated by battle lines and a stream of rush-hour traffic outside a federal courthouse last week, at least 200 pro-Palestinian demonstrators faced off against a smaller crowd of Israel supporters.

Most of the chants were run-of-the-mill; men and women waving Palestinian flags called Israel's invasion of Gaza a "crime," while the pro-Israel group carried signs calling the Hamas-run territory a "terror state."

But as the protest continued and crowds grew, one woman in a hijab began to shout curses and slurs that shocked Jewish activists in the city, which has a sizable Jewish population.

"Go back to the oven," she shouted, calling for the counter-protesters to die in the manner that the Nazis used to exterminate Jews during the Holocaust.

"You need a big oven, that's what you need," she yelled.

Millions of Jews were gassed and burned in crematoria throughout Europe during Adolf Hitler's rule of Germany. The protest organizers, asked to comment on the woman's overt call for Jewish extermination, said she was "insensitive" but refused to condemn her statement.

"She does not represent the opinions of the vast majority of people who were there," said Emmanuel Lopez, who helped plan the event, one of many sponsored nationwide on Dec. 30 by the ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism ) Coalition.

Lopez, a state coordinator for ANSWER, admitted there is a problem with anti-Semitism within his organization's ranks. But then he went on to call the supporters of Israel across the street "barbaric, racist" Zionist terrorists.

"Zionism in general is a barbaric, racist movement that really is the cause of the situation in the entire Middle East," Lopez said.

The unidentified woman, who protest organizers said was a Muslim, wasn't the only protester who raised hackles that day. Other demonstrators held signs that said "Nuke Israel," and a number made comparisons to the Holocaust, accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza.

More than 670 Palestinians, including hundreds of civilians, have been killed in the 12 days of Israel's campaign in Gaza. At least 30 were killed Tuesday by Israeli shelling of a U.N. school that had been housing refugees. (Israel said its forces fired at militants who launched mortars from that location.)

"This is absolutely inhumane," said Ahmed Suid, who attended the demonstration, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "This is a modern-day Holocaust."

The comparisons of the Israelis to the Nazis has Jewish organizations concerned about a "growing trend" at protests in America, where they say hatred of Israel and Jews is being increasingly preached.

"We're worried about hate speech. We're worried because hate speech eventually leads to pain and suffering and death," said Abraham Foxman, director of the Anti-Defamation League, which has been tracking Gaza protests.

"Comparisons of Israel to the Nazis are a deeply cynical perversion of history, an attempt to turn the tragedy that befell the Jewish people into a bludgeon against Israel," he said.

Even though police had to intercede and break up a potentially violent confrontation between the two factions at the Fort Lauderdale protest, organizers called it a success, saying it drew crowds of new activists.

"It was not just an academic exercise . . . not just a protest," Lopez told FOXNews.com. "It's a material force."

"Go back to the oven,"
the hatefilled Muslim shouted,
She was calling for those who support Israel
to die in the manner that the Nazis used
to exterminate Jews during the Holocaust.

Israel defends the civilized world
A ceasefire by Israel would be the worst thing that could happen to the ciivilized nations of the world.  For the sake of civilized people, Hamas must be totally neutralized

Not all world leaders and certainly few USA liberals realize this.  Many would like Israel to allow Hamas to continue killing-4-Allah.  Most of those who support the Murdering Muslim Maniacs of Hamas do not care about the killings, as long as they are not the targets.  Another example of the inability of liberals and world leaders to learn from history.

Global Community Urges Israel to Allow Hamas to Survive

As usual:

France and Egypt announced an initiative to stop the fighting in Gaza late Tuesday, hours after Israeli mortar shells exploded near a U.N. school sheltering hundreds of people displaced by the onslaught on Hamas militants. At least 30 Palestinians died, staining streets with blood.

The Egyptian and French presidents didn't release details of their proposal, saying only that it involved an immediate cease-fire to permit humanitarian aid into Gaza and talks to settle the differences between Israel and the Islamic militants of Hamas who rule the small coastal territory.

They said they were awaiting a response from Israel.

Hopefully theyll get a response by, oh, April or so. What everyone needs to do is step back, ignore Hamas propaganda and understand that Hamas has inserted itself deeply into the civilian community in Gaza for the purpose of having Israeli reprisals result in civilian casualties. Additionally: We dont know if it was an Israeli shell that caused the deaths - could have been a Hamas rocket or mortar falling short or, indeed, a deliberate massacre by Hamas in order to have a pile of dead people to show to the media (remember, were dealing with inhuman savages in Hamas - they glory in killing the innocent in order to advance their sick ideology - you cant put anything past them). To cause Israeli to stop short of the destruction of Hamas in Gaza because Hamas says that the Israelis bombed a school is the worst sort of asinine thing to do - even if one wishes to suppose the worst of Israel, all stopping Israel does at this point is ensure that more people will die at a later date at the hands of Hamas and then at the hands of the IDF in response.

This is a battle - fight it out to the end.

What makes people happy

This information seems to prove that those who rely upon themselves are much happier that those who rely upon others to take care of them.   To be happy, get married, go to church, become a conservative and vote Republican.
Republicans: Still Happy Campers

by Paul Taylor, Pew Research Center
October 23, 2008

The Model Two analysis found:

The probability of those who report they are in excellent health being very happy is 36 percent greater than the probability of those in poor health being very happy, if all else is held equal. (There was a small difference in the 2008 and 2005 surveys in the number of responses categories to the health question. To make the measure more comaprable across the years, the 2008 sample combined those who said "poor" and "only fair" into one category for this analyis. In the 2005 sample, the lowest health rating was poor.
The probability of those of who attend religious services more than once a week being very happy is 18 percent greater than the probability of those who never attend religious services being very happy, if all else is held equal.
In this model, the estimated impact of party identification, marriage, income and age under 30 all decline slightly from their values in Model One, but still stand as predictors of happiness. The value of age over 64 increases slightly from it value in Model One. No other demographic traits have an independent impact on predicted happiness in this model.

We also ran the regression equation with using ideological self-identification (conservative versus liberal) rather than partisan self-identification (Republican versus Democrat) as one of the variables. We found that the impact of being conservative as a predictor of happiness is about the same as the effect of being a Republican. In addition, when we did another analysis that combined both party and ideology on a continuum from liberal Democrat to conservative Republican, we found that the effect of these combined variables on predicting happiness is slightly greater than the effect of either variable on its own.

II. Data Sources

The probability of a Republican being very happy is 13 percent greater than the probability of a Democrat being very happy, once all other variables in this model are held equal.    The probability of those at the highest annual income levels ($150,000 and above) being very happy is 16 percent greater than the probability of those at the lowest income levels (less than $10,000) being very happy, if all else is held equal.    The probability of married respondents being very happy is 12 percent greater than the probability of unmarried respondents being very happy, if all else is held equal.    The probability of someone age s 64 and above being very happy is 10 percent greater than the probability of all othert adults being very happy, if all else is held equal.    The probability of someone ages 29 and below being very happy is 7 percent greater than the probability of all othert adults being very happy, if all else is held equal.    The probability of someone who has completed college being very happy is 8 percent greater than the probability of someone who has not completed high school being very happy, if all else is held equal.    Gender, race and ethnicity have no independent impact on the odds that someone is very happy, once all the other variables in this equation have been controlled.

 Full Report

Chin up, Republicans. Despite the imploding stock market, the looming recession, the unpopular president and the dismal political polls, theres very good news in the one realm of life thats always been a special sanctuary for you.

Personal happiness.

Some 37% of you say youre "very happy" with your lives, compared with just 25% of Democrats who feel the same way, according to a new nationwide Pew Research Center survey conducted from Oct. 3 through Oct. 19 -- a period thats witnessed a race to the bottom between John McCains poll numbers and the publics 401(k) account balances.

This big GOP edge in lifes happiness sweepstakes is not a new phenomenon. Ever since the General Social Survey1 first asked the question in 1972, Republicans have always been happier than Democrats. But the current gap is among the largest on record.

What accounts for it? And how has it been able to withstand this falls avalanche of unhappy political news for the GOP?

Well, Republicans are different from Democrats. How so? Let us count the ways.

They have more money.2    They have more friends.3    They are more religious.4    They are healthier.5    They are more likely to be married.6    They like their communities better.7    They like their jobs more.8    They are more satisfied with their family life.9    They like the weather better.10    They have fewer financial worries.11    Theyre more likely to see themselves doing better in life than their parents did.12    Theyre more likely to feel that individuals -- rather than outside forces -- control their own success or failure.13    They have more of what they most value in life. (No, its not money).14

All of these differences are associated with the partisan happiness gap. But a word of caution: It can get very tricky trying to disentangle causes from effects. Even though happiness research has become a cottage industry in recent years, no one has yet been able to nail down all the factors that explain the persistent -- and growing -- Republican happiness advantage. No definitive answers will be available here, either. However, a close examination of data from three Pew Research Centers surveys taken in 2008 may shed new light on this intriguing gap.

Lets start with some key demographic indicators. As is well known, Republicans, on average, have more money than Democrats. And -- all those lectures from parents, teachers and pastors to the contrary notwithstanding -- it turns out that money and happiness tend to go hand in hand, not just in this country but all over the world.15

In the latest Pew survey, some 35% of those with family incomes above $100,000 a year report being very happy, compared with just 27% of those with annual incomes of less than $50,000. (A June Pew survey had found an even wider happiness gap by income -- 46% of the $100,000-plus income group reported being very happy in that survey, compared with 30% of the under $50,000 group -- perhaps suggesting that the recent stock market miseries have disproportionately intruded on the happiness of those in higher income brackets). Pew surveys also find that Republicans have more money than Democrats -- on average, about $18,000 more a year in annual family income, according to a February survey. And when it comes to household wealth, the Republican advantage over Democrats is even greater.

Next up on the demographic check list is marriage. Republicans are more likely than Democrats to be married, and married adults are more likely than unmarried adults to report that they are very happy -- 34% vs. 24%.

But lets stop right here, because these correlations raise as many questions as they answer. Is it that happy people get married, or that married people get happy? Does money lead to happiness, or happiness to money? Or might some unrelated factor be creating correlations which dont actually have any causal connection?

This is where something called regression analysis can be helpful. It is a statistical technique that measures the independent importance of each of a number of variables in predicting a phenomenon of interest -- in this case, the likelihood that someone is very happy.

For the purposes of this analysis, we constructed two regression models from the Pew survey data. The first looks at respondents party identification along with their basic demographic traits (age, gender, race, ethnicity, income, education, marital status). It then computes the odds that any single one of these traits will have a bearing on a persons likelihood of being very happy, once all of the other variables in the model have been held constant. (For a more thorough explanation, see Appendix).

In Model One, income has the greatest impact on predicting happiness: a high income person has a 16% greater chance than a low income person at being very happy, once all the other characteristics in the model have been held constant. Next on the list in this model is being a Republican rather than a Democrat -- this increases someones odds of being very happy by 13%, once all the demographic variables in this equation have been controlled. In other words, if one were to compare a theoretical Republican and a theoretical Democrat who had the identical age, ethnicity, race, gender, income, marital status and education level, the Republican would be 13% more likely than the Democrat to be very happy.

To be clear, this does not prove that being a Republican "causes" happiness. But it does demonstrate that, even after setting aside all the demographic traits that separate partisans of the two parties, a Republican is still a bit more likely than a Democrat to be very happy.

Our second regression model (Model Two) throws two additional variables into the equation -- church attendance and health status. Neither of these variables is a demographic trait per se, but both have been shown, in surveys taken over the years, to be correlated with happiness. And indeed, as Model Two demonstrates, they are more powerful than any demographic trait in predicting happiness. Someone who reports being in excellent/very good health has 34% better odds of being very happy than does someone who reports being in poor health, once all other variables in the equation are held constant. Likewise, someone who attends religious services weekly or more often has an 18% better chance of being very happy than someone who attends services seldom or never.

Adding these two factors to the regression model has the effect of reducing, but not eliminating, the independent impact of partisan identification on happiness -- from 13% in the first model to 7% in the second model.

Seven percent may not sound like much, but it means that someones party identification has a greater direct bearing on that persons odds of being very happy than does the persons race, ethnicity or gender. In both models, none of those factors has any independent impact on someones chances for happiness, once the regression analysis has done its little magic. (To be sure, those traits may well have an indirect impact on happiness, because they correlate with variables that predict happiness, such as income, marriage and church attendance).

Where does this small but persistent GOP happiness edge come from? A February 2008 Pew Research Center survey looked at differences between Republicans and Democrats in their life priorities, values and experiences, and explored how these differences relate to overall levels of life satisfaction. The story that emerges from the survey data is quite consistent: advantage Republican.

Life Satisfaction

Life satisfaction is not the same thing as happiness. The former is an evaluation of ones circumstances; the latter is a measure of ones feelings. Nevertheless, and not surprisingly, the two measures are highly correlated. And, as with happiness, Republicans have a clear advantage on the life satisfaction front.

Some 42% of Republican respondents in the February Pew survey rate their present quality of life on the top three rungs of a ten-step scale; an additional 36% place themselves on the next two rungs, and just 21% place themselves on rung five or below. Among Democrats, by contrast, just 28% rate their life on the top three rungs, while 34% place themselves on the next two rungs and 37% say they are on rung five or lower.

Republicans also give higher rankings than Democrats to the life they were leading five years ago, and to the life they expect to be leading five years from now. This same "ladder of life" battery of questions has been asked in Pew surveys many times over the past decade, and Republicans have always outscored Democrats (though margins vary from year to year).

No doubt, much of the GOP advantage in life satisfaction is tied to their income and wealth advantage over Democrats. In an effort to control for those economic factors, the survey asked respondents to place themselves into one of five socio-economic classes -- upper, upper-middle, middle, lower-middle and lower. Even after taking into account this sorting by class, the survey finds that the GOP advantage holds up -- that is, upper-class Republicans are more satisfied than upper-class Democrats; middle-class Republicans are more satisfied than middle-class Democrats; and lower-class Republican are more satisfied than lower-class Democrats.

Personal Progress

One pillar of the American dream is the idea that each generation does better than the one that came before. On this measure, Republicans score better than Democrats -- some 75% say their standard of living is better than the one their parents had at the age they are now; compared with just 61% of Democrats who say the same thing.

On this question, too, Republicans in each socio-economic class enjoy an edge over their Democratic counterparts in the same socio-economic class. For example, 76% of self-identified middle-class Republicans say they are doing better than their parents, compared with 65% of self-identified middle-class Democrats who say the same thing. The partisan gaps are nearly identical among the lower and upper classes.

Theres virtually no partisan gap on the question of whether people believe their own children will have a better standard of living than they themselves have now. Overall, exactly 49% of both Republicans and Democrats say they expect their children to do better in life than they themselves have done. Among the self-identified middle class, Democrats (53%) are slightly more optimistic than Republicans (47%) on this question. However, among the self-identified upper and lower classes, the optimism on this measure tilts slightly in the Republican direction.

Life Priorities; Life Circumstances

The February Pew survey found that Republicans are better than Democrats at aligning their life priorities with their life circumstances. Put another way: Republicans, as a group, tend to want what they already have. Democrats, as a group, tend to want what they dont have.

Republicans are more inclined than Democrats to say they place a high value on being married (62% of Republicans say this is a very important priority in their life; 45% of Democrats say the same); on having children (68% of Republicans vs. 56% of Democrats say this is a very important priority) and on living a religious life (64% of Republicans vs. 47% of Democrats say this is a very important priority). And, sure enough, Republicans are more likely than Democrats to be married (62% vs. 44%); and to attend religious services at least once a week (51% vs. 30%). They are also slightly more likely to have children (75% vs. 73%), though this difference is not statistically significant.

Democrats, by contrast, place more emphasis than Republicans do on having a successful career (65% of Democrats vs. 55% of Republicans say this is a very important priority in life); on being wealthy (17% of Democrats vs. 9% of Republicans call this an important priority ); and on having free time to do the things they want to do (73% of Democrats vs. 63% of Republicans).

But Democrats do not do as well as Republicans at matching their desires with their circumstances.

For starters, they are not as well-off financially as Republicans. The February Pew survey found that the median annual family income for Republicans is about $64,000, compared with about $46,000 for Democrats. Also, Republicans are more likely than Democrats to own a home (74% vs. 61%); the median value of their home is higher ($223,830 vs. $199,502); more of them have paid off all the money they owe on their homes (35% vs.27%); and their home is a smaller percentage of their overall family net worth (just 25% of Republicans, compared with 33% of Democrats, say their home accounts for more than half of their overall family net worth).

Career success and free time are more difficult priorities to quantify. But if one measure of career success is income and wealth, clearly Democrats come up short, relative to Republicans. And if another measure is job satisfaction, here, too, they come up a bit short -- some 29% of Democrats say they are completely satisfied with their jobs, compared with 33% of Republicans who say this (a small but not statistically significant difference).

Do Individuals Control Their Own Destiny?

Who or what determines success in life -- the individual or outside forces? And how do views on that question line up with life satisfaction?

Theres a big partisan gap on the first question. Republicans are less inclined than Democrat to say that success in life is mostly determined by outside forces. Just 28% of Republicans -- compared with 40% of Democrats -- hold this view. The partisan difference on this question is biggest among those who identify with the upper classes -- some 34% of Democrats but just 20% of Republicans who call themselves upper or upper middle class say that success in life is mostly due to outside forces. Among the self-defined middle class, Democrats (42%) are also more inclined than Republicans (30%) to hold this view.

People who say that success is mostly determined by outside forces are less satisfied with their life (average life satisfaction rating: 6.1 on the zero to ten scale) than are those who disagree with that proposition (average rating of 6.6 on the life satisfaction scale).

On a related question -- how do the rich become rich -- there is a similar partisan gap. Some 59% of Republicans say the rich become rich mainly through their hard work and ambition; just 35% of Democrats agree. The majority of Democrats (52%) say the rich get rich mainly through good connections or being born into it; just 32% of Republican agree. These partisan gaps persist through all levels of self-identified class.

Financial Worries

It may be that one of the key factors that explain the Republican happiness edge is no more complicated than this: Republicans have fewer financial woes than Democrats.

The February survey asked about a range of financial problems that people may have had in the past year -- related to employment, household expenses, medical bills, and rent or mortgage payments. On every measure, Republicans reported having had fewer problems than did Democrats. And, once again, the Republican advantage held even when the comparisons were between partisans who self-identify in the same socio-economic class.

The survey also asked respondents whether they anticipate having these kinds of financial problems in the year ahead. Here again, Republicans are significantly less inclined than Democrats to express anxieties about money.

A more recent Pew Research Center survey, taken in mid-October during the height of the current stock market turmoil, found that while about nine in ten Americans rate the national economy as only fair or poor, nearly six in ten Republicans (57%) rate their personal finances as excellent or good. In contrast, just 35% of Democrats give these same positive ratings to their personal finances.

Views about Economic Mobility

Given these differences in economic circumstances and attitudes, its no surprise that Democrats have a much more downbeat view than Republicans about economic mobility in general.

In the February Pew survey, some 67% of Democrats, compared with just 47% of Republicans, say it is harder for people to get ahead today than it was ten years ago. The partisan gap on this question persists through all three self-identified classes, though it is greater among those in the upper classes (a gap of 27 percentage points) than among those in the lower economic classes (a gap of 10 percentage points).

Bottom Line

Public opinion survey research, no matter how exhaustive, can never hope to untangle all the mysteries of personal happiness -- to do so would require an impossible journey into the human heart. One obvious limitation of the Pew surveys discussed in this report is that they did not explore respondents psychological characteristics, which surely have something to say about whether a given individual is happy or not.

Nevertheless, there is a growing body of scholarly research, not just in this country but around the world, which supports the basic finding of these Pew surveys: that Republicans (or conservatives) are happier than Democrats (or liberals), and that these gaps persist even after basic demographic factors have been controlled.

At least in the United States, this partisan happiness gap has widened in recent years. At the moment, in the teeth of a raging economic storm, the Republican happiness edge is roughly as big as its ever been. Meantime, Democrats this month have sunk to a modern low on the happiness scale -- just 25% say they are "very happy" with their lives.

I. Explaining the Regression Analyses

A regression analysis is a statistical technique designed to show the relative importance of each of a number of independent variables in predicting a phenomenon of interest -- in this case, the likelihood that a respondent is very happy.

For the purpose of this analysis, we constructed two regression models,. The first considerd party identification along with a series of demogrpahic traits -- including age, gender, race, ethnicity, income, educational achievement and marital status. A second model considered all those factors, as well as church attendance and health status, which have long been shown to be correlated with happiness. Predicted probabilities have been computed by varying a given independent variable from its minimum to its maximum value, while holding all other variables in the equation constant (at their mean or modal value). Both regression analyses were performed using a combined data base from two different Pew surveys -- one conducted in July, 2008 among 2,250 adults and the other conducted in October, 2005 among 3,014 adults.

Comparing Terrorists and USA "liberal"
 characteristics

Islamic terrorist and Liberal similarities
The hate of most Islamic terrorist organizations often overcomes any common sense they may have.
The hate of the Islamic terrorists more often brings death to innocent Muslims than to the avowed enemies of the Islamic terrorists.
In a small way we see the conquest of hate over reason among the liberals in the USA.  Many USA liberals tend to respond to ideas they dislike with their emotions - calling names and attacking others rather than explaining why they do not agree with positions other than their own..

These USA liberals,  like Islamic terrorists, allow their responses to be dictated by hate rather than reason

Liberals - be happy - become conservative
The probability of a conservative being very happy is about 13 percent greater than the probability of a liberal being very happy.
Liberals.  Get happy. Think like a conservative.
For details of what can make you happy see: You will be happier if you are married, go to church and become a conservative

Does Israel need to nuke Iran?
I think a nuclear attack by Israel - if it should come - is likely to be aimed at Iran's military and command infrastructure, and it will not be a single nuclear bomb.
I hope this will not happen, but I am not sure the world has the will to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear nation.
Israel obviously cannot wait for the world to protect Israelis from an Iranian nuclear bomb
.

What should Israel do, and when should Israel act, to protect itself from an Iranian nuclear weapon?

How can Israel make peace?

How can Israel make peace with Iran and their Hamas clients who have been sending rockets into Israel for the last six years.
What, precisely, can Israel do?  Israel relinquished Gaza years ago, so that the people in Gaza could make their own determinations on what they should do.  The people of Gaza chose a terrorist organization, Hamas, to represent them.  For Israeli's ending of the occupation in Gaza it got continued aggression from Hamas.

What can Israel do to achieve peace when its enemies do not want to negotiate anything, except how soon will all the Israeli's disappear

Political corruption is not illegal.  Corrupt politicians are not criminals

Political corruption is the selling and trading of the politician's political power for the personal benefit of the politician.
This political behavior is a corruption of the concepts of a Republican Democracy in which the politicians should do what is best for the citizens, not themselves.

Illinois Governor Blagojevich tried to sell Obama's Senate seat for his own benefit.  Blago has not been convicted of anything, but most of us know Blago is corrupt.
Senator Hillary Clinton has never been convicted for actually DOING what Blago only talked about doing.  Hillary, like other politicians, is corrupt, but not a criminal.
Corruption does not mean breaking the law.  Politicians write the laws and generally protect themselves from being criminals by allowing corruption.
If selling a politicians political power for personal gain were to be made illegal, we would need to lock up most of the two party politicians in the USA.

Remembering the lies of Democratic Politicians who wanted war with Saddam's Iraq

Great proof, in their own words captured on video, that Democratic politicians lied about Iraq developing a nuclear bomb.  It is clear that Democratic politicians were lying in order to start a war with the peace loving Saddam

Do Nothing Congress does nothing on Obama's stimulus package

The Democratically controlled Do Nothing Congress is now doing nothing on Obama's stimulus package.  President elect Obama wanted a stimulus package on his desk the day he became president.  The do nothing Democratically controlled Congress ignored the wish of President elect Obama and did nothing - other than backdoor dealing to get the best stimulus package for themselves and their special interest groups.

Senate Allies Fault Obama on Stimulus

By PETER BAKER and DAVID M. HERSZENHORN

WASHINGTON President-elect Barack Obamas economic recovery plan ran into crossfire from his own party in Congress on Thursday, suggesting that quick passage of spending programs and tax cuts could require more time and negotiation than Democrats once hoped.

Senate Democrats complained that major components of his plan were not bold enough and urged more focus on creating jobs and rebuilding the nations energy infrastructure rather than cutting taxes.

Just hours earlier, Mr. Obama called for speedy passage of the stimulus measure, warning that the recession could linger for years if Congress did not pass his plan within weeks.

Further complicating the picture, Democratic senators said Thursday that they would try to attach legislation to the package that would allow bankruptcy courts to modify home loans, a move Republicans have opposed.

Parallel to its work on the stimulus plan, the Obama team has also been considering how to use the second $350 billion of the bailout program approved by Congress. A transition team official said Thursday night that the new approach would give government officials broader range to provide relief on consumer loans for homes, automobiles and education, while also doing more to address foreclosures and the problems of municipalities and small businesses.

For his recovery plan, meanwhile, Mr. Obama has been assembling a package worth as much as $775 billion over two years to revive the sagging economy, using the plan to define his presidency even before it begins and to foreshadow his broader approach to governing.

While relying on traditionally liberal notions of using government spending to spur growth, he has also tried to adapt it for a new era with investment in clean energy and technology. And he is trying to balance all of that with tax breaks that appeal to Republicans.

But the broad support he has enjoyed so far for the basic concept is now being tested as the specifics become clearer. While conservatives criticize the high spending, and moderate Democrats express concern about the swelling deficit, liberals are pushing for even more money devoted to social programs, alternative-energy development and road, bridge and school construction.

David Axelrod, Mr. Obamas senior adviser, said the president-elects team was not concerned by the emerging pockets of criticism of his plan.

Obviously, its a big answer to a big problem and there are a lot of component parts to it, Mr. Axelrod said in an interview after meeting with balky Senate Democrats. These folks are not potted plants. Theyre elected officials, and they're doing their jobs.

He added, Its a collective process, and were willing to listen to peoples ideas.

Asked if they were willing to adopt peoples ideas, Mr. Axelrod said: Well see. It depends on the idea.

Mr. Axelrods comments came after a spirited meeting at the Capitol where he and two other Obama aides, Lawrence H. Summers, the incoming national economic adviser, and Philip Schiliro, tapped to be the chief White House lobbyist, heard lots of frustration from Democratic senators.

There is only one thing we have got to do in the stimulus, and that is how can we create jobs, said Senator Tom Harkin, Democrat of Iowa, as he left the meeting. I am a little concerned by the way that Mr. Summers and others are going at this in that, to me, it still looks like a little more of this trickle-down, if we just put it in at the top, its going to trickle down. A number of people in there said, Look, we have got to have programs that actually create jobs and put people to work.

Senator Kent Conrad, Democrat of North Dakota and chairman of the Budget Committee, said lawmakers and the incoming administration had differences over how to focus the huge federal spending in a recovery bill. Investment, investment, investment has got to be the central focus: energy, roads, bridges, waterways, housing, he said. Job creation is Job One.

Mr. Conrad, who described the meeting as extremely positive, said Mr. Summers ended it by telling the senators, Message received, loud and clear.

Several Democrats on the Finance Committee earlier in the day questioned the proposal to give tax credits worth $500 to individuals and $1,000 to married couples. Several senators said that initiative would provide a token sum of money, which taxpayers were likely to save, not spend.

Senator John F. Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, and others also criticized a proposal to give businesses a $3,000 tax credit for each new employee they hire, saying it was unlikely to influence business decisions.

After meeting with Mr. Summers, Mr. Kerry said he expected adjustments to be made. We are in a good dialogue, he said. I am very confident about some adjustments being made.

The Democratic demands clash with those of Republicans who want more tax cuts and express doubts that heavy infrastructure spending would be the best way to stimulate the economy. Its very important as we go ahead that we find the right balance, said Representative John A. Boehner of Ohio, the House Republican leader. Yes, our economy needs help. But at the end of the day, how much debt are we going to pile on future generations?

With the cascade of conflicting opinions, Mr. Obamas allies pushed for quick passage. Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, the House speaker, said she would cancel the Presidents Day recess in mid-February if lawmakers had not passed an economic plan by then. If we dont have a bill before the presidents recess, there will be no presidents recess, she told reporters.

Mr. Obama reinforced that urgency in a speech at George Mason University in the Virginia suburbs of Washington. For every day we wait or point fingers or drag our feet, he said, more Americans will lose their jobs, more families will lose their savings, more dreams will be deferred, and our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse.

The speech was his first since the election and indicated how fully he is stepping into the role of president when it comes to domestic issues even before his inauguration. His advisers have calculated that he cannot wait to begin a campaign to build public support and have mapped out a series of events to explain his economic approach, including booking him on the ABC program This Week on Sunday.

For the moment, the public remains strongly in Mr. Obamas corner. The latest Gallup tracking poll this week showed that 65 percent express confidence in his leadership.

But Geoffrey Garin, a Democratic political strategist, said the Obama plans price tag is an awfully big number that follows a financial bailout thats strikingly unpopular with the public. Both of these things create a challenge to overcome, some nervousness on the Hill and among the public.

Mr. Obama addressed that nervousness in his speech. I understand that some might be skeptical of this plan, he said. Our government has already spent a good deal of money but we haven't yet seen that translate into more jobs or higher incomes or renewed confidence in our economy. But he said his plan wont just throw money at our problems. Well invest in what works.

Known on the campaign trail for inspirational addresses, Mr. Obama on Thursday was sober and ominous, summoning the nation to meet a daunting task.

Now, I dont believe its too late to change course, he said, but it will be if we dont take dramatic action as soon as possible. If nothing is done, this recession could linger for years.

Some Democrats said they were not sure that Congress and the Obama administration would ultimately see eye to eye. Mr. Harkin pointed to Mr. Obamas speech earlier in the day to promote the economic recovery package and said the rhetoric did not match the dollars in the plan.

Obama said today that he wanted to double renewable energy in three years, well we can do it, Mr. Harkin said, but he added that spending to jump-start that initiative would have to be included in the stimulus

Ice age threatens the USA as global warming ends

2008 was the coldest year in the contiguous USA's history for many years.  Alaska is also seeing increasing cold weather.  (See story below)

The average contiguous US temperature dropped .2 degrees in 2008.

This means the USA is cooling at the rate of 1 degree every five years.
If this cooling is not stopped average temperatures in the USA will drop 20 degrees in one hundred years.
USA farmland will be destroyed.  Some areas of the USA will be iced over.  Ocean trade patterns will be significantly changed.  Energy costs will skyrocket.

We must stop the ice age before it is too late.

Now is the time to increase the consumption of gas, use larger cars, open your windows when you heat your home.  Start bonfires.  Do something.  An ice age can be stopped by human effort.

Extreme Alaska cold grounds planes, disables cars
AP  Elisabeth Habermann, with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, skis from the race trail in the subzero
Slideshow: Alaska copes with extreme temperatures
JUNEAU, Alaska Ted Johnson planned on using a set of logs to a build a cabin in Alaska's interior. Instead he'll burn some of them to stay warm.

Extreme temperatures in Johnson's case about 60 below zero call for extreme measures in a statewide cold snap so frigid that temperatures have grounded planes, disabled cars, frozen water pipes and even canceled several championship cross country ski races.

Alaskans are accustomed to subzero temperatures but the prolonged conditions have folks wondering what's going on with winter less than a month old.

National Weather Service meteorologist Andy Brown said high pressure over much of central Alaska has been keeping other weather patterns from moving through. New conditions get pushed north or south while the affected area faces daily extremes.

"When it first started almost two weeks ago, it wasn't anything abnormal," Brown said. "About once or twice every year, we get a good cold snap. But, in this case, you can call this an extreme event. This is rare. It doesn't happen every year."

Temperatures sit well below zero in the state's various regions, often without a wisp of wind pushing down the mercury further.

Johnson lives in Stevens Village, where residents have endured close to two weeks of temperatures pushing 60 below zero.

The cold has kept planes grounded, Johnson said. Food and fuel aren't coming in and they're starting to run low in the village, about 90 miles northwest of Fairbanks.

Johnson, whose home has no heater or running water, said he ventures outside only to get more logs for burning and to fetch water from a community facility. He's been saving the wood to build a cabin as a second home, but that will have to wait a few years now because the heat takes precedence.

"I've never seen it this cold for this long," he said. "I remember it 70 below one time, but not for a week and a half."

In Anchorage, Alaska's largest city, residents are used to lows of about 10-degree temperatures in January not 19 below zero, which is what folks awoke to Wednesday morning.

Temperatures finally settled to about 10 below at midday, but that was cold enough to cancel races in the U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships.

Skiers won't compete unless it's warmer than 4 below zero, but the numbers have ranged between 10 below and 15 below.

That has led to four days of canceled or postponed competition with organizers hoping to get a set of races under way on Thursday, the event's final day.

Obama voters were ignorant - more proof

Most intelligent people know that the most ignorant USA voters chose Obama.

This video captures real Obama supporters proving their ignorance in their own words

This is an important video provided by a poster who is doing his best to help Obama voters recognize their own ignorance.  To recognize personal ignorance is the first step to learning.

Biased CNN report prevents Israel from achieving a just peace

One of the major problems preventing Israel from achieving peace is the bias and outright lies of the media.  Here is an example of the biased CNN willingly duped by a Hams Islamic terrorist faking his younger brothers death.  This type of sickness pervades the biased media who want Israel destroyed
