AOL BIAS - This is a growing guide to AOL political and religious bias seen by AOL subscribers
AOL shows political and religious bias in its news coverage. The bias is also seen in the use of AOL message board censorship policies.
Poster's messages are deleted by AOL monitors violating AOL's own Terms of Service, TOS. Time Warner has taken no action to stop the bias.

I guess AOL really didn't like my post!   LOL Oh well, here it is again. I'm just putting this out there. :o)
I am a Muslim American and I am really finding it quite irritating to see all this bashing of muslims and immigrants. I was born here in the states, in a Naval hosptial of all places. My dad served in the Navy, his father in the Army, and I have several cousins serving in the Navy, and the Coast guard. My husband is an immigrant and suffered unjust punishment from the FBI and BCIS. On top of it all, every where we go we are spit at, kicked at, have objects thrown at us and obscene phrases hurled in our direction.
Now, I am a convert. I was raised as a Southern Baptist and later my mother became Catholic. I am fairly well versed in Christian beliefs. What my husband and I are bombarded with nearly daily are not ways in which the Christian faith condones or supports. So, I cannot understand for the life of me why people who associate with Chrisitians would do and say these things. My only explaination is that there are a bunch of bad apples in a greater group of good people.
Also, for those that may not be of the Christian faith who are doing the same types of things to Muslims in this country. My father raised me to believe that Americans have a responsibility to act in a certain manner. That manner consisting of respect, virtue, honor, compassion, and understanding. He taught me that these are all aspects of being an American and you cannot abandon any of them. He told me that you should fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. You should also protect the rights of all people no matter there origins or beliefs.
With that being said, I find it very interesting that many people from these back grounds are very quick to judge, condemn, and hate others. It all comes back to a bunch of bad apples in an otherwise good group of people. I understand this and ignore most of the incidents that occur. I would like to acknowledge those that do not do these sorts of things to other people. I must say that for every person who has mad a nasty remark, thrown something at me, kicked at me or spit at me, there has always been one more to come to my aid. This reinforces my belief that people are inherently good.
I have also noticed a pattern after conversing with my helping angels out there, those persons who muster the courage to do what is morally right. They are usually devoted Christians/Jews/ fill in your religion/ Service men or women. They are people who truely believe in their cause and their doctrine. Those who who spew the venom and hate from their mouths/keyboards are those who are not moral in their souls. They have hate in their heart. I am not sure who said it first, but I have heard before; "You hate about others what you hate most about yourself"
Really I am in pity of these people. All of them. From the terrorists all the way down to the people on these boards preaching hate. Hate leads to hate. Break the cycle and think for yourself. Your souls and what you say is between you and Allah, God, Yaweh, or lack there of. Whatever you prefer to believe. You are ultimately responsible for your own souls. If you believe in the oneness of God and the last days, your soul will stand in judgement and you will eat the words you say today. So choose them wisely. Be careful in your duties to God. God knows best, he is the all knowing and he knows well what is in your hearts.
Just for the record, as a Muslim I denounce terror in all shapes and forms. No matter who is terrorizing who. It is an immoral and unjust practice. However, I will not apologize for terrorist actions made in the name of Allah (swt). If Muslims "apologize" it means they are taking responsibility for the actions of other people out of their control. Just as I believe that Germans do not owe apologies to Jews, White people today do not owe Black people an apology for slavery, or any other such instances. You cannot and should apologize for the actions of others with results beyond your control.
As for those who would like to disagree, if you believe all these groups with such instances owe apologies, then there are some groups who have alot of explaining to do. ;o)
To everyone, Asaalam alekom! (Peace upon you!)

AOL is a typical "tolerant liberal" - lip service to diversity, but in the interest of "fairness" harass Christians. The only thing we can be sure of in AOL censorship is that AOL censors are infallible and no criticism of AOL censors will be tolerated.  This is how it works. People come into Christian rooms to attack Christianity. AOL censors have no interest in following Biblical principles, so AOL censors will usually side with the anti-Christian than with the Christian. I doubt there is any AOL censor who knows or cares about Biblical principles. AOL censors are welcome tools of the anti-Christian. I was without a single AOL TOS for about 15 years. When I suddenly started to stand up for my Catholic faith in the "Beliefs Catholic", I suddenly got numerous TOS?s. My complaints were to no avail. Go to Christian and Catholic rooms and do light, foolish, van talk, but any real defense of your faith will not be tolerated by AOL censors. Are you happy that we have AOL censors to keep us in line?

Debbie Schlussel: Hezbollah High: Dearbornistan Terrorists' Principal
is Hezbollah Leader's Relative; Days Off For Extremist Campaigns

By Debbie Schlussel

Early yesterday, when I wrote about "All-American" Islamic Terrorists Ali Houssaiky and Osama Sabhi Abulhassan a/k/a "The Dearbornistan
Boys," I noted that both are graduates of Dearborn's Fordson High School a/k/a "Hezbollah High." As I wrote, Houssaiky was the star
running back and co-captain of Fordson's football team. (More abou them here.)

The school's principal, Imad Fadlallah, is a relative of Hezbollah spiritual leader Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, a Specially
Designated Terrorist (SDT) on the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Asset Control terrorist list, used by the State Department.
Imad Fadlallah's wife, Susan, is the daughter of Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who was Hezbollah's negotiator during the 1985
TWA flight 847 hijacking during which Hezbollah tortured to death Navy Diver Robert Dean Stethem. Before that, he was the head of the
Shi'ite Amal Militia, which has been absorbed into Hezbollah.

Hezbollah High: Fordson Principal Imad Fadlallah is Hezbollah Spiritual Leader/Terrorist Mohammed Fadlallah's Cousin
Another cousin, Majed Fadlallah, is Fordson's Assistant Principal. And the school is a virtual one-stop employment shack for many of the
cousins of Hezbollah's Sheikh Mohammed Fadlallah.

The Dearbornistan Terrorist Boys' former principal, Imad Fadlallah, told The Detroit Spews that both terrorists are great kids:
Osama is the son that anybody would dream of having. Yes, anybody like Fadlallah, who is a Hezbollah leader's cousin.
The school is the nation's only Muslim-dominated public high school . . . for now. The vast majority of its students are Arab
Muslims, primarily of Lebanese descent, with some from Yemen and other Arab Muslim nations. USA Today showed the school's football
team engaged in Islamic prayers, yet not a peep from the ACLU. The politics of hate are rampant at the school. Non-Arab, non-Muslim
minorities who've attended Fordson describe the bigotry they felt at the school, akin to dhimmitude in ancient Muslim Arabia. It is a
cesspool of hate.

Hezbollah High: Fordson High School On election day, November 2005, Principal Imad Fadlallah gave Fordson's students an excused absence to work for the Arab American  Political Action Committee (AAPAC) and its endorsed candidates, including Palestinian convicted felon and school board candidate Nael  AbuNab a/k/a Neal AbuNab (he has two other aliases listed in his criminal record). AAPAC's officers are prominent Hezbollah supporters in town. At least one of AAPAC's donors heads a charity that is under investigation for funding HAMAS and Al-Qaeda insurgent terrorists in Iraq. For giving the day off to students to work for AAPAC, AAPAC
gave Imad Fadlallah an award.

AAPAC's Secretary, Lola Elzein, over the past year has sent me these death threats, saying she will rape, torture, and kill me, my
parents, and my grandparents. Despite that, AAPAC refuses to depose her . . . or even to denounce her death threats.

ACLU Hassle Free @ Hezbollah High:
Football Players Say Islamic Prayers @ Tax-Funded Public High School After radio talk show host Roger Hedgecock, subbing for Rush Limbaugh
on has nationally syndicated show, read my column on the air, an ignorant spokesman for Dearborn Public Schools called in with a half hearted defense of the school, claiming the school did not hold Hezbollah rallies. Well, of course not, as it is still out for the
summer.   But many of Fordson's students, as I wrote, did attend pro-Hezbollah
rallies held throughout Dearborn and Detroit.

Whether or not Fordson holds official pro-terrorist events within the building is irrelevant. Fordson High School--Hezbollah High--is Hate
U.S.A.
Your tax dollars at work.

The speech below, given by Israeli Prime Minister Olmert, has been forwarded to me by a friend.  I agree with it.   I remember reading about a similar speech to the League of Nations (born 1919, died during World War II!) by the emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie, in 1936.  The League ignored Mussolini's war against the Ethiopians at that time, in exactly the same manner as the UN does today to Israel, and for the same reasons.  I well remember the capitulation by England and France to Hitler at Munich in 1938.  Neville Chamberlain, Prime Minister of Great Britain at that time, returned proclaiming "Peace in our time".  Eight months later, Hitler started World War II.
Peace is not won by cowards.  Israel is fighting a war because it must, not because it wants to
I am circulating this message also as a remembrance of my relatives who were killed in Poland during WWII. But it applies to anyone, Jew or non-Jew, who believes in justice and world peace.  Please read this message and distribute it to others.

This speech is of the caliber of those given by Winston Churchill during WWII, you MUST read it.
I hope you will pass it on to all your friends and acquaintances who are following the horrendous battle Israel is waging against evil in the Middle East.  They are fighting on our behalf.
--------------------------------

July 31, 2006
Ladies and Gentlemen,

Leaders of the world.  I, the Prime Minister of Israel, am speaking to you from Jerusalem in the face of the terrible pictures from Kfar Kana.  Any human heart, wherever it is, must sicken and recoil at the sight of such pictures.  There are no words of comfort that can mitigate the enormity of this tragedy.  Still, I am looking you straight in the eye and telling you that the State of Israel will continue its military campaign in Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces will continue to attack targets from which missiles and Katyusha rockets are fired at hospitals, old age homes and kindergartens in Israel.  I have instructed the security forces and the IDF to continue to hunt for the Katyusha stockpiles and launch sites from which these savages are bombarding the State of Israel.

We will not hesitate, we will not apologize and we will not back off. If they continue to launch missiles into Israel from Kfar Kana, we will continue to bomb Kfar Kana. Today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Here, there and everywhere. The children of Kfar Kana could now be sleeping peacefully in their homes, unmolested, had the agents of the devil not taken over their land and turned the lives of our children into hell.

Ladies and gentlemen, its time you understood: the Jewish state will no longer be trampled upon. We will no longer allow anyone to exploit population centers in order to bomb our citizens. No one will be able to hide anymore behind women and children in order to kill our women and children. This anarchy is over. You can condemn us, you can boycott us, you can stop visiting us and, if necessary, we will stop visiting you.

Today I am serving as the voice of six million bombarded Israeli citizens who serve as the voice of six million murdered Jews who were melted down to dust and ashes by savages in Europe. In both cases, those responsible for these evil acts were, and are, barbarians devoid of all humanity, who set themselves one simple goal: to wipe the Jewish race off the face of the earth, as Adolph Hitler said, or to wipe the State of Israel off the map, as Mahmoud Ahmedinjad proclaims.

And you - just as you did not take those words seriously then, you are ignoring them again now. And that, ladies and gentlemen, leaders of the world, will not happen again. Never again will we wait for bombs that never came to hit the gas chambers.  Never again will we wait for salvation that never arrives.  Now we have our own air force.  The Jewish people are now capable of standing up to those who seek their destruction - those people will no longer be able to hide behind women and children. They will no longer be able to evade their responsibility.

Every place from which a Katyusha is fired into the State of Israel will be a legitimate target for us to attack.  This must be stated clearly and publicly, once and for all.  You are welcome to judge us, to ostracize us, to boycott us and to vilify us.  But to kill us?  Absolutely not.

Four months ago I was elected by hundreds of thousands of citizens to the office of Prime Minister of the government of Israel, on the basis of my plan for unilaterally withdrawing from 90 percent of the areas of Judea and Samaria, the birth place and cradle of the Jewish people; to end most of the occupation and to enable the Palestinian people to turn over a new leaf and to calm things down until conditions are ripe for attaining a permanent settlement between us.

The Prime Minister who preceded me, Ariel Sharon, made a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip back to the international border, and gave the Palestinians there a chance to build a new reality for themselves.  The Prime Minister who preceded him, Ehud Barak, ended the lengthy Israeli presence in Lebanon and pulled the IDF back to the international border, leaving the land of the cedars to flourish, develop and establish its democracy and its economy.

What did the State of Israel get in exchange for all of this?  Did we win even one minute of quiet?  Was our hand, outstretched in peace, met with a handshake of encouragement?  Ehud Barak's peace initiative at Camp David let loose on us a wave of suicide bombers who smashed and blew to pieces over 1,000 citizens, men, women and children.  I don't remember you being so enraged then.  Maybe that happened because we did not allow TV close-ups of the dismembered body parts of the Israeli youngsters at the Dolphinarium?  Or of the shattered lives of the people butchered while celebrating the Passover seder at the Park Hotel in Netanya?  What can you do - that's the way we are.  We don't wave body parts at the camera.  We grieve quietly.

We do not dance on the roofs at the sight of the bodies of our enemy's children - we express genuine sorrow and regret. That is the monstrous behavior of our enemies.  Now they have risen up against us.  Tomorrow they will rise up against you.  You are already familiar with the murderous taste of this terror.  And you will taste more.

(In a loud and clear voice)

And Ariel Sharon's withdrawal from Gaza.  What did it get us?  A barrage of Kassem missiles fired at peaceful settlements and the kidnapping of soldiers.  Then too, I don't recall you reacting with such alarm.  And for six years, the withdrawal from Lebanon has drawn the vituperation and crimes of a dangerous, extremist Iranian agent, who took over an entire country in the name of religious fanaticism and is trying to take Israel hostage on his way to Jerusalem - and from there to Paris and London.

An enormous terrorist infrastructure has been established by Iran on our border, threatening our citizens, growing stronger before our very eyes, awaiting the moment when the land of the Ayatollahs becomes a nuclear power in order to bring us to our knees.  And make no mistake - we won't go down alone.  You, the leaders of the free and enlightened world, will go down along with us.

So today, here and now, I am putting an end to this parade of hypocrisy.  I don't recall such a wave of reaction in the face of the 100 citizens killed every single day in Iraq.  Sunnis kill Shiites who kill Sunnis, and all of them kill Americans - and the world remains silent.  And I am hard pressed to recall a similar reaction when the Russians destroyed entire villages and burned down large cities in order to repress the revolt in Chechnya.  And when NATO bombed Kosovo for almost three months and crushed the civilian population - then you also kept silent.  What is it about us, the Jews, the minority, the persecuted, that arouses this cosmic sense of justice in you?  What do we have that all the others don't?

In a loud clear voice, looking you straight in the eye, I stand before you openly and I will not apologize.  I will not capitulate.  I will not whine.  This is a battle for our freedom.  For our humanity.  For the right to lead normal lives within our recognized, legitimate borders.  It is also your battle.  I pray and I believe that now you will understand that.  Because if you don't, you may regret it later, when it's too late.

AOL BIAS Editor's Note: I wonder if the speech would stay up on AOL?

Editors Note:  DOC: I have seen new posts by you that got deleted before I had a chance to respond to them.  From all I have seen, here's my opinion.  AOL selects people as monitors, gives them free AOL service, and allows them to manage the boards -- in accordance with Terms of Service,  Different monitors have different sensibilities, even when using the Terms of Service.  Some monitors ignore the terms of service and try to use their position as a monitor to slant what appears on the board.  I think this is particularly true on this message board about the MIDDLE EAST CRISIS.  At any rate, THIS message thread has been up for over an hour.  It's the first time I have seen a post on this board, questioning AOL bias, that has been allowed to remain for so long.

Do the "Terrorists" now control AOL?
Editors Note:  I just got off the message board after putting up a response to you -- where I even commented on the fact that AOL had allowed the thread to remain up so long.  I will continue to collect examples of the AOL bias, although I would hope this AOL executive can put a stop to it.  It LOOKS like this message board is controlled either by terrorists or terrorist supporters.  Of course, terrorist might be a good word because they do seem to want to terrorize AOL users by denying them service.  As soon as I hear something from the AOL executive I will send a message to our AOL BIAS group.

Can anyone find the message thread about Time Warner investigating AOL bias?  It was on the board for over an hour.  It had many messages.  There was no foul language or hate-filled messages (some sarcasm, f course) but now it's gone.  Some posters here have suggested AOL does not delete posts but that people do not have the technical skills to find them.  Could someone find that thread for me -- it had approximately the same title as this thread.

I tried to get the word out about two documentaries.  I think the name of these have some sort of keyword and get deleted.  So, I've been reduced to IMing people to try to get their attention (very improper!).  This is what I'm sending out, hoping people won't ignore me.
There are video links being deleted off the board as soon as they come up.  It seems anything pro-Israel gets deleted.  These are incredibly powerful documentaries that show exactly what kind of enemy the Muslims are.  They are 1 hr long each, but well worth the time to download.

They say they delete "offensive" posts, yet leave hate-posts making fun of Jews, about putting them in ovens, etc. But a more moderate, human post that is pro-Israel (or pro-US) is often deleted--and a post questioning AOL is a prime target for deletion. Guess a free press is only free for some ("liberals" is too general--it's the left wing ideologue/true believers and the outright haters on the left (and right) that get a free pass from AOL. Interesting.

Last night, I replied to several posts regarding the pair of AZ murder suspects.  I returned today after work to check any response
to my thoughts.  Though the original posts were still there, all but one of my responses were expunged.  At the risk of sounding paranoid, I feel I have an enemy
since I recently accused a certain message board monitor of total bias.  I went so far as to call him an atheist and a communist sympathizer after the erasure of
the Madalyn Murray O'Hair expose posted on the board regarding the demolition of the 27' cross in San Diego last month.  This was the genesis of the rant
I placed in the ear of the AOL rep. I spoke of in my post you used as an example of bias on the net.
Also, I wrote a lengthy treatise titled, "Why Is It We Never Learn?" and it was posted on the The War In Iraq message board on July 1. It, too, was expunged
after a short stint in the limelight. I believe it was erased due to the light shed on the Arabic word Istilahl which is a Muslim who twists the Holy Scripture of the
Koran to fit his needs. The ending paragraph was this:
By mixing Islamic truth and twisted ideas of self-government, Islamic fundamentalists are hoping to use the U.S. as the witting fall guy. By the ultimate
withdrawal of U.S. forces from the battle theater, it would be just a matter of time before the mediocre forces left to finish the job we started would throw up
their hands and deliver the reins of power to a government no better than the Taliban; unbelievably, a group of thuggish zealots who expect the populace
to honor them as heroes even after they indiscriminately car-bombed them into submission.
In short, I put the finger on what these people are actually attempting to achieve though most people can't see the forest for the trees.
Evidently, the monitor did not sympathize with my thinking!
Editors Note:  The biased AOL monitors will often delete a message they find to be too intelligently written to allow others to see.

Nicky's votes where only to either return her, or not to return her.
The Nicky campaign did not give a choice to return any other evictee.

How many times have we seen the news manufactured by the news media? Just off hand I can think of "we had to destroy the village in order to save it", ALAR,
exploding truck gas tanks, Jason Blair, Rigoberta Menchu, Texas Air National Guard...I'm sure there's a dozen that are escaping me at the moment. What I wonder
is when everyone will finally admit there is a media bias, and in service of this bias the MSM is not too scrupulous about what they pass on as truth. One thing we've
never seen: an internal investigation by a news organization proving itself to have been guilty of fraud. The only time we see this sort of thing is when outsiders bring
it to everyone's attention. Of course, for years now I've been advising that the least reliable source of news is photographic evidence - it is just too easily doctored,
especially since computers came along to make fakery something you can do right at your desk with no additional tools required. But over and above that, all news
media has to be suspect - the most important tool any of us have to pierce the fog of lies and half truths is our own good sense. Think about it - does the story really
seem all that plausible? Start doing that with each story, and you'll be less and less taken in by the MSM.

iberty nor Safety.' My sentiments exactly.
Editor's Note: There is clearly lots of media bias. There is also lots of bias on the AOL message boards and in the news sources used by AOL.

They would hate the idea of having a REAL president who might kick their BUTTS, instead of this piecemeal war going on. Oh, and if this is deleted, it will be sent to
AOL management for review.
Editor's Note: Perhaps the AOL monitor(s) on the board did not want people to know that it is possible to complain to AOL management, as well as external media.

are tying to do. I have been a member of AOL for nearly 20 years and have always been active on the boards and put a great deal of postings on them also.
The nonsense issues I do not get involved with. I have had many posts pulled for no reason other then which the moderator of that particular board would disagree
with what I have to say. I have never been vulgar but I will get to the point in a civil manner. ... don't get your hopes up in solving this problem. It's been around a very
long time. ... the Big Wigs don't really give a damn as to what is going on mainly due to the fact that AOL is the largest provider of on-line services and the
majority of moderators are not paid. They get compensated by getting the service free which incidentally is going to be undergoing changes beginning in
September which will only make things worse.
Editor's Note: I sent you an invitation to join our group addrssing the actions we can take to minimize AOL bias.

Don't worry, I took precautions, went off-line and am still scanning. Don't want to wake up in the morning and find my computer is an Islamic terrorist
Editor's Note: Was the direction to an Islamic Site in a message header that made it look like you wrote it? This is the type of message hijacking I was
subjected to several months ago
.

ShootDaMoon69 writes: Recently, I had a post deleted from the message board regarding the history of the Atheist movement beginning with the onslaught
of Baltimore atheist, Madalyn Murray O'Hair. When it, too, was deleted along with the positive feedback it received, I was perturbed to no end. I called AOL
and complained bitterly. The representative told me that AOL does not set the standards for any of the boards; they are hosted and monitored by members
such as ourselves. And, she said, that these monitors can and will delete anything that does not meet their idea of what is conducive to their points-of-view.
Editor's Note: This seems to be a good example that may prove it is individual message board monitors that are slanting boards to reflect their own agenda
as several of our members have suggested.

I noticed this on a thread that was non-political and related to parenting and family violence issues, subjects I have written about and continue to write about. I
thought these boards would give me a "feel" for the national tendency or viewpoint and perhaps help me in my writing of future books on the matter.
But it seemed as if vulgar posts were more welcomed than thoughtful and/or properly written or intellectually provocative ones. What burned me up is that
the posts I was particularly interested in (half the time those I disagreed with) were erased. How can one gage the public's mind that way?
I certainly don't try to use these message boards as a plug for my books (I don't often post and never use my name, etc). Obviously if someone's interest is
piqued by one of my statements, they can view my profile and/or contact me directly.
As I said, this is all useless if all viewpoints (except the puerile ones meant to upset folks) are not accurately portrayed and posted.
Keep up the good work.
Editor's Note: I agree with you. The message boards are useless -- or, even worse, dangerous -- if the monitors of the board can skew the posts to favor their
own agendas.

Surely you must have all noticed it in the media and in the postings herein!
It is non-stop reverse PR dramatizing and repeating the horror of a missile gone astray and killing Hezbollahan refugees, children and supporters!
That is all you see and hear!
What about the thousands of missiles randomly fired on Israel by Hezbollah for twenty years since the United Nations resolution ordered Hezbollah to disarm and
cease terrorist attacks?
The Israeli government has apologized for an errant missile that killed many of Hezbollah followers!
Have you ever heard of Hezbollah, Hamas or al Qeda apologize for killing innocent men. women and children?
They never do!
Isn't it time the march toward condemnation of Israel became more even handed?
Bias is bad! Bias in the public print is shameful and unjust!

you have your own Broadband service that connects you to AOL. If you're interested, the phone number to call is 888-265-8008. WARNING: It took me about 15 minutes
