Amy Fisher
made her claim to fame as a Long Island teenager. She shot the wife of her
older lover, Joey Buttafuoco. She gained fame, went to prison, got out and
got married in 2003. She was 29 in 2003. The Long Island Press, for
which Fisher writes a column, did not reveal who Fisher married or when, but
said she will tell all in a column to be published in the Long Island Press.
In 2001, two years after she got out of prison, Fisher stuck with older men and
had a son, Brett, with Lou Bellera, a man 24 years older than she was. Amy said,
"I felt just like the world felt, that I was one of those lost girls who was
destined for a life of tragedy and despair," Fisher served seven years for
shooting Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the face on the front porch of the Buttafuocos'
home. Mary Jo stuck by her husband until this year when she filed for divorce.
Joey said the split was amicable.
